Getting Around
If you choose to bring or rent a car during your stay, then Denver is a fairly easy city to navigate. However, if you don’t plan to have a vehicle during your stay then the Rapid Transit Denver (RTD) Light Rail system can get you around quite conveniently to most points of interest in the city as well as the airport with the Orchard Station being a less than a half-mile walk from the Double Tree hotel.
The other convenient aspect, is that Orchard Station is on the Purple line which takes you directly to Union Station which itself is only a short walk from Coors Field if you intend to attend the Saturday night Rockies Baseball game.

There are a number of things to do in Denver and the surrounding area that you can arrange on the fly. However, if you want to attend a concert or other live performance then getting tickets early is key. If there is something that interest you and you want to go with others attending the reunion, let us know and we can help get the word out and possibly help making some arrangements. Red Rocks Amphitheater
Red Rocks is highly regarded as a must-go venue among hard core concert goers. Likewise it is a popular tourist destination in its own rights as the venue is open for wandering around during the day and is surrounded by a network of popular hiking trails. Fiddler’s Green
Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre is a unique concert venue located in Greenwood Village, Colorado, a suburb of Denver and is located a mile away from the hotel. Concerts around the time of the reunion include:
Denver Center for the Performing Arts
DCPA is located in the heart of downtown Denver and is easily accessible from the hotel from the RTD purple line at Orchard Station with a quick transfer to either the Blue or Green lines. On the MainStage during the reunion is:
Empower Field
While primarily the home of the Denver Broncos, Empower Field at Mile High also hosts the biggest stadium concert bands that come to Denver with AC/DC headlining the week of the reunion.
